Good

The graphics are substantial, one might think too flashy, but they fit together well.

The sound is repetitive but it varies enough that it doesn't annoy.

The movement is clunky and unresponsive, the combat seems slow and jerky at times. The "foot stomp" part of the combo takes too long. The character suffers from a "frozen animation" when in combat. This means the player loses most to all of the control of the character for over a second while performing some action, and that is a big fault in many combat games.

For a game that presents the player with an action side to a defense game, "Towering Forever" does a decent job. I hope you make another tower defense game like this that is more responsive and has many more choices/towers/enemies.

Nice game

It was hard at first, i kept dieing on the third level. But on my 3rd/4th try I beat the game with full health.

Suggestions: You should be able to dig up other items, like bottles of experience that you can give to a monster to level it up or give it a good amount of exp. Maybe a health potion once in a while to restore 10 or 20 hp.

Waves should be onger or there should be more waves (like in the later levels) and the player should be notified of how many waves there will be.

As a rule of thumb, the player's main wepon shots should ALWAYS come from the center of the ship. The slightly offcenter below position makes moving and shooting accurately very hard...

I know you might have though it made sense to put it down there, but no wrong.

Graphics are nice though, the movement of the ships is very sloppy too. This is the future right? add some stabilizers to those ships..!

Decent graphics, slow gameplay, simple dynamics. Unbalanced at times.

Don't know how you did this in 24 seconds

Some funny glitches: when in a cinematic attack, jump right before it finishes and you stay in the air, or something like that.

After some messing around with that glitch my warrior started doing 12000 damage per hit, which was nice.

I don't see how this could be done in 24 seconds.

Should have started the player off with something smaller so he could level up and put more points into skills.

So you made a wrapper swf?

Your uploaded swf is only 10kb which makes me believe you have the game uploaded elsewhere? did you do this to avoid the preloader problem with the exporting to first frame?

Decent game, i played it through to the end. Interesting combo, failsafe system.
I never upgraded my armor, just my failsafe and missile damage and precision and was easy.

Good game though. Got bored after like 10 minutes.

Hm, Fun game

needs more power ups, may i suggest a power up that shoots a bunch of shots in all directions like a bomb but less damage.

Also i pressed 'P' b reflex to try to pause the game, and it did. When i unpaused there were different sound effects than there were in the beginning of the game.
I liked the second set of sfx more than the 1st

I do believe it takes more power to run a computer than it does to run the handheld version of this. So that "no batteries" required stuff is a play on our consumer minds.

Fun game, good highscore system, simple, quick. Only thing i would have liked is for a change of sounds for the buttons. After a while that piano sound can get annoying. Maybe add drum sounds or flute or something else relaxing.

It's cool that you mentioned that (I've heard those piano sounds a million times now!) My friend was just talking about adding the ability to upload your own sounds for it... that would be a riot!

For now I may seriously consider adding a couple more sound sets since it's still under a meg.
